I have had the pleasure of working with Milton Keynes Gallery as an Associate Artist since 2019. During this time, I have introduced attendees to pinhole photography, studio photography, and the concept of photographing a feeling, among other themes and methods. I was invited to create a Painting with Light workshop after responding to an artist call-out for MK Gallery’s Inclusive Practice in the Arts programme.

"Willie led a fantastic Painting with Light session for participants on the Our Studio programme at MK Gallery. Our Studio offers an independent creative space for neurodivergent and disabled young people aged 14-25yrs.

Willie immediately put participants at ease, supporting them to learn a new skill in the way most meaningful and accessible to each of them. The session enabled some beautiful moments of collaboration between participants and pushed them to create ambitiously. The photos are still returned to months later for exhibition, and to develop into new mixed media artworks. It was definitely a favourite session of many of our participants, and made a huge impact!"
