Spikes will be on show at 35 Chapel Walk in Sheffield throughout December. We live in dark and difficult times, and sometimes it is hard to see places of hope in a divided world. The exhibition seeks to shine light on signs of hope in 2018.

These photograms / organic stains were influenced by the escalating number of homeless people in Brighton. It's hard to engage with an individual if you have nothing to say so I looked at the ground, as many do, and found flowers and fauna penetrating the pavement crust. I found a glimmer of optimism there. Seemingly a very fragile life can grow and thrive in a hostile environment if given even a tiny amount of sunshine.
